Rising sea levels, higher humidity, disappearing sea ice and retreating glaciers are all clear indications that we live in a warming world. While the planet's climate has always been prone to fluctuations thanks to natural causes, scientists believe that the current warming is the result of a build up of greenhouse gas in the atmosphere, caused by human activity. Communities across the world are already experiencing the knock on effects of the change: extreme weather, flooding and desertification.
