In the last in our series of tips on taking photos of people we look at a great way of photographing crowds in cities.

Tip 10: Set up your camera on a tripod with a good, wide view of people moving through the city, then capture their movement with a long exposure. Choose a place and time where there is a lot of movement and use a slow shutter speed (eg 1/15 second) to create blur as people go past. Those moving slowly or standing still will be sharper, while those moving fast will be blurred.
