Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Mooncake Festival, is a traditional harvest celebration, associated with the full moon, in which people spend the night with their families giving thanks and lighting lanterns. Although most famous in China it is also celebrated in some Southeast and Northeast Asian countries.
