Today sees the spectacular culmination of one of Spain’s most famous festivals, Las Fallas. Elaborate figures up to 20 metres high will be burned, after being paraded through the streets of the city of Valencia. The figures are often inspired by recent news or controversies, with a large dose of satire and humour.
