Since robertharding started working in partnership with VSO we have been distributing their wonderful images, showcasing the organisation’s important work. Among the 25 countries where their volunteers impart valuable skills is Cambodia, where they support schools to improve the quality of teaching, aiming for equitable access to quality education services, especially for marginalised children.

VSO’s volunteer advisers train teacher trainers, school directors and teachers in child-centered teaching methods and coach them in their day-to-day work. 14-year-old Cheang Sreylin is a pupil at Ponk Teuk School, where volunteers have supported these teaching methods. She says: “I love going to school. It’s a really fun place to be. I learn a lot from our teacher, especially in my favourite subjects – languages and maths.”

VSO have been working in Cambodia – one of the world’s poorest countries – for 25 years, and are firmly committed to the development of the country. Last year 111,631 people accessed improved education, income opportunities and benefited from better public services due to their work there.
