Travel photographer John Alexander grew up in Asia and loves to shoot in the land of his childhood. His photos of Sumatra attest to this passion, as well as his expert skill in capturing the atmosphere of the magical paddy fields, waterfalls, sapphire seas and extraordinary wildlife that he encountered in this island, in simple, beautiful compositions. “I try and evoke an emotion from the image, to tell a story that my audience will connect with,” says John. “The more simple the image, the better it will be.”
