These menacing-looking Nile crocodiles were photographed by Ann and Steve Toon on several trips to South Africa. The prehistoric-looking animals are the second largest reptiles in the world, with the average male measuring between three and a half and five metres in length, and they have been known to kill everything from hippos to humans.
