Sculptors have been working for many months in the Spanish city of Valencia to create fallas – elaborate figures propped on architectural monuments several stories high. And their fate? After being paraded on the streets for the past few days they will be burned today in the spectacular highlight of the city’s annual Las Fallas festival.
