In the next few posts on how to photograph people, we’re going to look at shooting crowds and parades. These can make fantastic subjects with endless opportunities to capture that special shot.

Tip 8: Find a high vantage point from which to photograph a crowd or parade using a zoom lens. You could do this from a balcony or rooftop. Remember it is usually better to photograph people when they are facing you. Look for repetition and colour that will make your photo special, or alternatively, someone that stands out from the crowd.
