Then there was the Grand Tour with the elite classes indulging on educational and cultural expeditions. Nowadays travel is all about escape, experience and discovery in the hope we can leave something behind as we explore unfamiliar lands, forging new memories and learning that bit more about ourselves.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>This interactive evening workshop explores how the communication industry uses Travel imagery as a means to communicate these ideas and emotions.\u00a0We\u2019ll explore:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What type of imagery is most commonly sought after and why?<\/li>\n<li>What are the markets for travel imagery?<\/li>\n<li>How does advertising uses travel imagery?<\/li>\n<li>What are the attributes of successful commercial travel images?<\/li>\n<li>How can images get seen and ideally used?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>When<\/strong>: 16th\u00a0October 2014<\/p>\n<p><strong>Times<\/strong>: 6.30pm \u2013 9.30 pm\u00a0(including half hour \u2018meet and mingle\u2019 at the end)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where<\/strong>: The Crypt, Borough High Street, London SE1 1JA<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost<\/strong>: Previous exhibitors in the London Photography Festival (including October 2014) \u00a325; non-exhibitors \u00a0\u00a335<\/p>\n<p><strong>Booking:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.londonphotofestival.org\/festival-master-class-zoe-whishaw\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>\u00a0(places are limited and early booking is advised)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zoe Whishaw<\/strong> is a Commercial Photography Consultant\u00a0and mentor providing creative direction and strategic advice for photographers and photo agencies (www.zoewhishaw.com).
