Pyongyang is the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). The Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) forms the boundary between North Korea and South Korea. The legitimacy of this border is not accepted by either side, as both states claim to be the legitimate government of the entire country. It leader Kim Jong Un was elected First Secretary of the Workers Party of Korea on 11th April 2012. North Korea is one of the most literate countries in the world with 99% literacy rate. It also has the 4th largest army in the world!
