License's Explained

At robertharding we offer most images & video in two distinct flavours 'Single-Use' and 'Multi-Use', the two licences have differences explained below.
Single Use

A Single Use (Rights Managed) license includes a single *non-exclusive use of the image/video limited to the specific use, medium, period of time and territory indicated when selecting the license option, including any other †restrictions indicated on the image/video detail page.

Great for tight budgets

Customers who don't need to use the image/video more than once.

A Multi-Use (‡Royalty Free) license includes a one-time fee the image/video can be *non-exclusively used perpetual (forever!), worldwide, an unlimited number of times, in any media/medium/format, excluding any other †restrictions indicated on the image/video detail page, images/video are priced by the resolution/image size needed.
Perfect for customers who need to use an image/video across a multi-media campaign e.g Online advertising & print brochures.
Publishers who regularly reprint some years after purchase.
If you would like exclusive rights to use content, please contact us to discuss a buy-out.
* Non-Exclusive - meaning that you do not have exclusive rights to use the content and robertharding can license the same content to other customers.
† Editorial Use Only - images/video can only be used to illustrate a newsworthy article, a critique, an educational text or personal use.
† Not Model or Property Released - you are required to obtain any required releases based on the context you wish to use the image/video in.
‡ The "free" in Royalty Free does not mean there is no cost for the license, but instead refers to being able to freely use the image without paying additional royalties after the initial purchase.
