Nick Upton

Nick Upton worked in wildlife TV for 25 years, taking many photos to promote his films for the BBC and other major broadcasters worldwide, but has concentrated on photography since 2012. He photographs a wide variety of wildlife and travel subjects and often combines shots of wildlife and people in his coverage of major UK conservation and reintroduction projects. He’s much published in major books, newspapers and magazines. His work has appeared in National Geographic magazine and has illustrated 15 features in BBC Wildlife magazine since 2014. He has worked on commission for the National Trust, the Wildlife Trusts, other NGOs and private clients. Among other major photography awards, he’s twice won the Documentary Series category of the British Wildlife Photography Awards and won the Conservation Documentary Award in the Bird Photographer of the Year 2020 contest.
