Ben Allen

Following my BA (Hons) Journalism graduation at Southampton Solent University I moved to Canada and went freelancing. Since the move I have shot images in Canada and from my explorations around the world. The Middle East with its rich and fascinating culture has been a particular highlight. In 2014 and 2016 I spent time shooting images in Syria. I've also spent extended periods living in Lebanon and Armenia and the surrounding region.I also work in the written aspects of journalism. I've freelanced on subjects as diverse as classic car restoration, affordable lifestyle in Canada, and mused over pressing issues like Brexit. I'm passionate about my words as much as my images. Photojournalism is a vocation for me.
