On the remote plains of Western Mongolia, around a hundred eagle hunters gather every October to demonstrate their art at this incredible annual festival, the ‘rodeo of eagle hunting’. The event has soared in popularity since 2016 when the launch of a documentary – The Eagle Huntress, featuring a young Kazakh girl called Aisholpan – sparked the imagination of many foreign visitors.
