Compared to our usual presentation of colourful content, we have edited a selection of our best sellers and presented these as beautiful black and white editions. We have an abundance of high-resolution images specialising in travel nature and wildlife – it’s down to you to take your pick!
Black and white photography doesn’t attract with its play of colours or vibrancy, instead, the subject matters have to stand out by their ability to communicate with composition, perspective, and lighting. To achieve such clarity in just black and white isn’t an easy task, the shot has to be strong, clean, and precise with careful thought given to the context. Tiny details offer subtle tones, lighting provides a vivid and intense depth, and a soft photograph taken in colour can be transformed into a striking and powerful image.
“To photograph is to hold one’s breath when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy” Henri Cartier Bresson – 1908 – 2004
