Outrageous costumes at Indonesia’s Jember Fashion Carnival

The Indonesian city of Jember comes alive with riotous colour this week as its annual fashion carnival hits the streets, revealing outrageous costumes on the theme of ‘victory’. Local fashion designer, Dynand Fariz, was inspired to create the carnival after a fashion week was held around the city in 2002. Now hundreds of thousands come to soak up this visual feast every year.
