The center is located in Briançon, France's highest town, which is part of WHO's Healthy Cities programme. At this altitude the oxygen partial pressure is reduced which has a positive effect on the cardio-vascular system. The concentration of allergens is also reduced. Briançon is one of the top places for high-altitude climate therapy due to its hours of sunlight, almost total lack of fog, its very low hygrometry, its almost total lack of dust mites, the scarcity of damp, its short pollen season and a very low levels of pollution. As part of the exertion rehabilitation programme, the children go hiking in the mountains, along with a sports educator.

1350-114 - Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) over the still waters this night of Crawling Lake in southern Alberta. This was early in the evening with the sky still brightly coloured with twilight. The comet was in the southern part of Ursa Major between the pairs of stars called Tania and Talitha. The clouds that were present nicely framed the scene and reflected in the water as well. The comet was too high to be visible as a reflection at this time.

1350-99 - The Northern Lights on Feb 16, 2015, as seen from the Churchill Northern Studies Centre, in Churchill, Manitoba at 58° latitude, and under the auroral oval. The aurora appeared as skies cleared somewhat during a blizzard with high winds and blowing snow conditions. I shot these from the second floor deck of the Centre, out of the wind and off the ground. Jupiter is at right, the Big Dipper at left.
